The Charter is operated by Captain Shawn, who is often found guiding his friends and clients through the beautiful waters of South Florida. Captain Shawn is known for his obsession for catching fish, ocean conservation and most notably his sense of humor.

is a unique experience in a friendly atmosphere, that will leave you with lifelong memories.You will be fishing aboard a spacious 31 ft Rampage powered by twin Yanmar diesel inboard motors for speed. It can comfortably take up to 6 anglers and is rigged with a fully air conditioned cabin, stand up bathroom, outriggers and top-notch navigational electronics, such as a GPS, a fish finder, surround sound speakers and a VHF radio.
Each trip with Gradyful Fishing Charters can be customized to suit your needs and wishes. You can fish inshore, nearshore, the wrecks, reefs, offshore, or see what is biting off South Florida’s pristine waters.
The Captain is amazing at a wide range of fishing techniques, such as light and heavy tackle, drift fishing, jigging, popping, kite fishing, spinning, trolling, and bottom fishing.

FIRST MATE CHRIS
Based out of Pompano Beach Florida, Captain Shawn who is originally from New Jersey and his First Mate Chris from Wilmington NC, have teamed up to provide an offshore experience unlike any other fishing charter on the water. Captain Shawn recently upgraded the charter vessel he runs on a daily basis that provides his clients with more room and comfort due to the addition of the appropriately named fishing vessel “Shakedown“.
The new vessel continues the unmistakable positive vibes created when starting The Grateful Dead themed charter business while running his vessel that was built by Grady White which he dubbed Gradyful.
After his business began to grow and the desire to accommodate more trips he upgraded to a 32 ft fishing vessel powered by twin 350 hp turbo diesel inboard engines that now set the stage for an intense action packed adventure that is unmatched by any other charter on the water. Captain Shawn met his First Mate Chris in March of 2021 when Chris filled in for a mutual friend which instantly created an unmistakable friendship and respect that when working together, clients experience an entertaining and stunning presentation of over 50 years of combined offshore experience.
Together their knowledge allows them to give clients the chance to target a wide range of saltwater fish that by just simply watching them work together to catch fish is quite remarkable to witness.
